I've found it easier than I expected and think the key has been eating smaller amounts regularly so I don't get starving. Now I just have to work out how to continue it after the 4 weeks. Eating every 3 hours will be part of that. It's a great program.
ReplyDeleteFood wise - things have been going pretty well. This is the 3rd time I have done this process - and it just gets easier - and of course the changes I need to make are less and less - because my habits have improved.
ReplyDeleteIt's my training that is challenging me. Navigating injuries is not fun - more to the point it's frustrating. I look forward to being back 100% physically so I can nudge that intensity needle in the right direction!
Here are some musings.
ReplyDeleteIt's the beginning of Week 3 and here's what's happening:
- Getting to bed earlier
- Managing alcohol intake
- Finding opportunities to get a little extra exercise in
- Figuring out that I have to keep eating regularly or the hunger is distracting me
The result so far:
- I feel better rested in the morning and seem to have more energy through the day despite the lack of sugar
- I feel less bloated and flatter tummy - which is nice
- Have had a couple of comments that I have lost weight (we'll know for sure in four weeks!
Oh, and the chip/chocolate aisles at the supermarket are taunting me... ;-)
I have found week 3 harder than the first 2 - maybe its the novelty wearing off?? Trick for me is lots of planning so I stay focussed....
ReplyDeleteWhat am i pleased with :
- Managing to my plan pretty well - i reckon an 8 out of 10 (except for 2 days that i am not focussing on!!)
- Water intake - fantastic
- Managing my nights out (and there have been alot of them), very well
- Have increased my intensity at the gym
- Eating every 3 hours is a must or I starve to death - definitely appreciating the benefits of this and actually enjoying it (as long as i plan especially when out)
Results :
- Feeling better
- Definitely think I have fined down a bit (but we will see in a week or so), particularly around the waist/stomach
- Definitely have learnt things to take forward as part of my ongoing regime - for me this is a real positive
Getting my 4 week measures done 8 hours before my birthday bash - another example of the benefits of planning!!!!
PS All the Ignite guys have been so supportive....thanks xxx
